Many comments have been made about us moving forward to form Open Dialogue Services, LLP. I have communicated with a few people privately, and heard an incredible amount publicly. I am going to address some of what I feel are the prominent issues here.

Open Dialogue Services, LLP is a new business that is chartered in the state of Washington. TruthTown is a service offered by Open Dialogue Services, LLP.

We chose the organizational structure of a for profit business for many reasons. Among them are:

1. We see the need for open dialogue to help the world be a better place;
2. We want this service to grow and be vital;
3. We want to develop additional software and services; and
4. We want to be compensated for our services so that we can devote full time to this endeavor.

We see a growing vital partnership that can react quickly to take advantage of changing needs and technology.

We are developing income streams. We are committed to the dialogue being free to all users.

Sunday January 7, 2007 - Revised the formatting to improve it. We also added a page on how to link to articles. Hopefully people will stop cutting a pasting URLS that take up so much space.

Wednesday December 27, 2006 - article / diary submission form is not as fixed as it is going to get. I am bothered that there is a serious HTML error in the form that cannot be fixed as it appears to be generated by the main scoop system. Everything appears to be working. Send bugs to TruthTown@googlegroups.com. There will be twiddles, but the major format issues have been resolved to the extent that I can resolve them.

Wednesday December 27, 2006 - comment submission form is now as fixed as it is going to be. There are a few bugs yet in the new article submission form.

Wednesday December 27, 2006 - most of the fixes are in the code that display text. Still working on fixing the code for submitting diaries and comments. When submitting diaries and comments the spell check box checked by default, forcing a preview. In order to do a submission the box must be unchecked first.

Tuesday December 26, 2006 - Fixing HTML generated by scoop. May not appear right in your browser. Will notify when complete.

Two new features here at TruthTown. The first is we now have a News menu item on the top menu bar. This is to tell everybody what is happening.

The Second is that we added news external feeds on the right. To turn this feature on goto click on Display Preferences and go to the bottom. There is a section labeled External Feeds:. Check the boxes you want to see and a box will appear on the right with the news from these sources. Make TruthTown your one stop shop for dialogue and see what is interesting in the world at the same time.

Please make suggestions for site improvements as comments to the story. Please be patient as we develop TruthTown.

This is also a good place to ask questions. We will do our best to answer questions. As we are still working on things like policies, we may not have answers. We do ask in the meantime not to start debating questions we don't have any answer too. That will only produce unnecessary dispute. Please be patient as we work on these things.
